Norway worried about increase in seminaries in Pakistan: envoy
[12.04.2012, 01:04pm, Thu. GMT]
Norwegian Ambassador Ceilie Landsverk has said that Pakistan and her country are enjoying strong relations. She was talking to the media at Kaira House here on Wednesday. Norway is worried about terrorism and an increase in seminaries in Pakistan. Even Pakistani businessmen are reluctant to invest in the country due to poor law and order. The Pakistan government should take steps to attract the investors, the ambassador maintained.
She claimed that there was religious freedom in Norway, but some people made groups against the government, which worried them. The ambassador said that Norway was not a big country like Pakistan and it could not issue visas to all Pakistanis. Some people get Norway's visit visa. After reaching there, they slip away and do not return, she added.

PPP district president Chaudhry Tahir Zaman Kaira said that the Norwegian government should pay attention to education and health in Pakistan. People hand over their children to seminaries due to poverty. Norway should establish model institutes for the poor children, he maintained.
