Exquisite Photos of Taiwan's Beautiful Wild Birds on Display!
[30.03.2012, 04:43pm, Fri. GMT]
The Taipei Representative Office is organizing a photo exhibition featuring Taiwan's rare wild birds in their natural habitats (frame 112cm x 87cm). It shares with the Norwegian people the beauty of Taiwan's biodiversity in the natural environment and raises the alarm of the potential human-caused extinction of these avian treasures. The Earth Summit 1992 promulgated Agenda 21 for biodiversity and sustainable development; 20 years on, the world is still stuck in more debates than taking solid actions. In the present times when global warming issue is high on the agenda of debate in the international community, it is both timely and meaningful to display these wonderful natural images and raise the awareness of the environmental challenges.
Also, through this meaningful activity, Taiwan expresses its concern for the environment of the mother earth and its willingness to cooperate with UNFCCC in dealing with the global warming issues.

The artistic works on display impart soothing images of the pristine nature. They are exquisitely made, framed and autographed by the photographer, a Taiwanese entrepreneur Mr. K. K. Kuo and his wife Mrs. Kuo. They are so gracious as to provide many peripheral souvenirs for visitors to this exhibition, on the basis of first come, first served.
