| Senior Norway official issues Pakistan caution |

The Norwegian Ambassador to Pakistan warns relations between the countries could deteriorate following public leaks Norway has agents working there. Police Security Service (PST) Director Janne Kristiansen revealed the information last month, resulting calls from ex Pakistani Intelligence Chief, Hamid Gul, for the agents to be arrested. She resigned following her gaffe.Two meetings were held between officials, one took place in Norway, the other was held in Pakistan.
Norwegian Ambassador Cecilie Landsverk stated an internal letter that the situation needed to be monitored as it could flare up again.
The embassy met with all Norwegian aid organisations with a presence in the country and other Norwegians living their shortly after Janne Kristiansen stepping down, VG reports.
Frode Overland Andersen, Norwegian Foreign Ministry Assistant Director General, told The Foreigner, “Norway has a good working relationship with Pakistan, which isn’t changed following all the attention surrounding the matter.”
“It’s natural the embassy should monitor these types of cases, which has received major media scrutiny.”
