Crown Prince not scheduled to have meetings with Chinese leaders
[10.09.2011, 07:31am, Sat. GMT]
Norway's Crown Prince Haakon will visit China next week, to attend the Young Global Leaders Annual Summit in Dalian, from September 12th to 16th. The summit is under the auspices of the World Economic Forum, of which the crown prince has been an active member for several years. This is the first visit to China by a representative from official Norway since the Norwegian Nobel Committee an gered the Chinese government by awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to the imprisoned Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo last fall.

However, according to NRK, the Crown Prince is traveling as a private person, and not in an official capacity. He is not scheduled to have formal meetings with Chinese leaders, and will not give interviews while in China.
