| Norwegian troops secures camp in Afghanistan |

Norwegian troops in Northern Afghanistan are strenghtening security precautions in and around their camp at Maimaneh, following increased unrest in the country. Violent demonstrations have taken place several places, following the massacre by a US soldier in Kandahar early Sunday, in which 16 civilians were killed. Norwegian engineering troops have been sent from Norway to strengthen outer fences and dig a deep trench, according to the newspaper VG.
