| Jagdish Gandhi honoured by Mayor in Oslo |

Dr Jagdish Gandhi, Renowned Indian Educationist and Founder-Manager of City Montessori School, Lucknow, India was honoured by the Mayor Torstein Winger in Oslo for his untiring effort, working for people’s amelioration, to find peaceful solution for people’s welfare and for his significant contribution to world peace at a function organized by the Indian Community in Oslo at 6.00 pm on 23 September 2011.On this occasion eminent people such as Mr Suresh Chandra Shukla, renowned journalist of Oslo and Mr Dinesh Kumar Nanda, First Secretary from the Embassy of India were also present. On this occasion, Dr Jagdish Gandhi also addressed the Indian Community on the topic of 'Education for the Protection and Security of the World, specially of the world's over two billion children and the generations yet-to-be-born.
Speech at MF Norwegian School of Theology
Earlier in the morning Dr Gandhi was invited by Bjorn Lyngroth, Director of MF Norwegian School of Theology in Oslo to address the institute’s students. The topic of his lecture was ‘Religion, Society and Global Issues’. On this occasion Professor Tormod Engelsviken honoured Dr Gandhi.
UNESCO Norway honoured Dr Jagdish Gandhi
Later in the afternoon UNESCO Norway kept a lunch in honour of Dr Jagdish Gandhi. Among the many eminent people were present the Secretary-General, Norwegian National Commission for UNESCO, Ms Gern-Hanne Fosen and also the President of UNESCO Norway, Ms Vigdis Lian and Ms Ingrid Eide, Member of City Council in Oslo.
Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Mr Shishir Srivastava were on a four-day visit to Oslo, Norway from 20-23 September 2011.
