| Norwegian military transport plane with 5 people on board goes missing during exercise |

A Norwegian Hercules military transport aircraft with five persons onboard is missing in Northern Norway, after it left Evenes airport Thursday afternoon. The air-sea rescue center in Northern Norway was alerted at 15:50 local time, after the aircraft did not land at Kiruna airfield as scheduled. The plane was participating in the international military exercise "Cold response" and left Evenses at 13:40.Last contact with the plane was at 14:55, when it was 80km west of Kiruna.
There is bad weather in the area, NRK reports.
