Norway confirms death of citizen in attack
[27.08.2011, 02:46am, Sat. GMT]
Norway on Friday said one of its citizens was among the 18 people killed in a suicide bomb attack on the United Nation‘s headquarters in Nigeria, which the Nordic country strongly condemned. ”I condemn with the greatest firmness the attack against the UN offices in Abuja today,” said Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere in a statement.”It is with profound sadness that we have learned that a Norwegian woman employed by the UN was among the dead,” he added.

The name of the 30-year-old woman was not released.

”Such acts of violence are totally unacceptable, and Norway condemns any form of terrorist actions. Those responsible must be held accountable,” Stoere added.
