The Norwegian police Special Branch (PST) is keeping extreme Islamic groups in Norway under closer surveillance, following the death of Osama bin Laden, NRK reports. Chief analyst Jon Fitje says the Internet is now the main arena for recruiting to these extreme groups. At the same time PST says they have opened more preventive measures than ever before.
According to PST, terrorist organisations regard Scandinavia as one country. The bomb attack in Stockholm last year, therefore show that a similar action could also be launched in Norway.
