Norwegian defence technology company Simrad Optronics ASA said on Monday (20 August) that its subsidiary Vinghog AS has secured a framework contract for a training system from the US Naval Surface War Center. The framework contract covers the development and delivery of a training system for the MK-47 grenade launcher, and has a maximum value of USD11.47m, of which Simrad Optronics has already received a first firm order valued at USD544,000.
