| Award given to CEO Telenor in Norway |

The Pakistani community in Norway presented President and CEO Telenor Group Jon Fredrik Baksaas with a special award (Bridge Builder Award 2007) on the occasion of Pakistan’s 60th Independence Day celebrations. The Bridge Builder Award honours people who have contributed to strengthening cultural and bilateral ties between Pakistan and Norway. This is the second time Telenor Group has received the award, the first time was in 2004, which was received by CEO Telenor Pakistan Tore Johnsen. Receiving the award, Mr Baksaas expressed his sincere gratitude and said it was a great honour for him to receive the Bridge Builder Award 2007 on behalf of the Telenor Group. “We see the award as an indication that the Pakistani community in Norway recognises and supports our commitment in Pakistan. It means a lot to receive this recognition,” he said. staff report
