10 medals for Norway in Beijing Olympics.
[24.08.2008, 01:05pm, Sun. GMT]
Norway  captured ten medals in the Beijing Olympic Games 2008: Three gold, five silver and two bronze medals. This is four medals more than in the Athens Games in 2004.  This year, the gold medals went to rower Olaf Tufte, to the Women's handball team and to Javelin thrower Andreas Thorkildsen.  Silver medals were won by swimmer Alexander Dale Oen, Tore Brovold in Skeet, Kjersti Tysse Plätzer in the Women's 20km Walk, Erik Veraas Larsen in the Men's Kayak Single (K1) 1000 m and Nina Solheim in the women's Taekwondo 67 kg event.  The bronze medals went to Sara Nordenstam in the Women's 200m Breaststroke event and to the Norwegian Equestrian team in the Show Jumping Event.(The last medal is still in jeopardy, after four horses from differnt nations earlier in the week tested positive for the banned substance capsaicin.)
